Kevin D. Hagerty is originally from New Hampshire, home to such notable stand-up comedians as Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman and Caroline Leavitt. He started teaching himself harmonica in 1967, and in 1991 wrote the first book on amplified harmonica, imaginatively titled "Amplified Harmonica Playing Made Possible," which sold dozens of copies and established amplified harp as a distinct instrument. He also wrote and published the first newsletter on the subject, "Mississippi Saxophone" under the pen name "Dr. Harpo.” He has an alter ego as a Chiropractor since 1985.

Scott Sumner has been an Ace Tone since 2016, giving him the distinction of being the longest-tenured member of the current lineup. Scott earned his chops playing in New Orleans for 10 years. He is highly respected in the Vegas valley, playing in many different bands.

Benny "Westt" Lupo is a guitarist/multi-instrumentalist transplant from Detroit "Motown" Michigan, whose love for the Blues compliment the feel-good vibe of Dr. Harpo & the AceTones.

Jeff spent most of the 1980’s and 1990’s playing in various local original and cover bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. While in those bands Jeff honed his playing skills in genres such as blues, rock, jazz, funk, top 40, country, and hip/hop. All that on-the-job training came in handy when in 1997 Jeff joined a local dance party band as the “bass player”. This was his introduction into working corporate gigs, weddings, casinos and festivals. After several years and a few personnel changes, his band called Busta-Groove had firmly established itself as one of the top dance party bands in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2021, Jeff relocated to the Las Vegas area and began performing gigs around town, which is what led to him becoming the newest member of Dr Harpo & the Ace Tones!

John Cermenaro joined the Ace Tones as a fill-in stunt drummer in August 2024. Once a rocker from New Jersey, he has found his groove in the blues and is sticking to it. John plays Roger’s drums (long story) and holds the title of the only Ace Tone hailing from Boulder City, Nevada.
